Thanks a lot for checking out the project! I’ve spent more time than I care to admit working on this, and I really hope you’ll enjoy the finished product.

If you enjoyed NBA Jam 2K17 and would like to make a donation, please consider donating to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. As you may have noticed in the trailer (and the in-game ad boards), I will be running the Boston Marathon in an attempt to raise $10,000 for this cause. As a cancer survivor, it is a cause that is very dear to me. You can read a bit more about why I’m running the marathon here, and if you would like to donate, you can do so directly at my Dana Farber Marathon Challenge page.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE consider making a donation. So far there have been almost 5,000 downloads (and 50k views) – if everyone who downloaded the rom donated a dollar our goal would have been met. So far only eight people have donated. (If you’re one of those eight people, thank you very much!) If you have the means to do so, please donate today and help the great people at Dana Farber. I may consider releasing new updates in the future if the fundraising is successful.

If you would prefer donating via paypal, you can do so at – please include your email address and I will send you a receipt / confirmation.

Thanks so much for your consideration!

Now, without further ado…

  1. You are awesome and admirable for putting in the work to do this. I can’t wait to fire it up on my Raspberry Pi. Respect !! The whole NBA community owes you a thanks

  2. This is amazing, thanks for this. Does the SNES have the capability to individually have the names of each player? (Like the arcade, jaguar, ps1 etc had)

I’ve been waiting for someone to do this for years!

(Although as a Knicks fan, I do feel some type of way about KP getting a power rating of 2. Harsh!)

  4. Hey man, this is great. I got into hacking this game awhile back and have some info on jersey colors and combinations that I think could be of use to you if you’d like me to send? Apologies for sending this through the comments section, I wasn’t able to find a contact e-mail.

  5. I’m guessing there’s no way to fix the issues on flashcarts (such as the SD2SNES) of crashing the game when trying to select the options menu (I’ve tried with just the rom and I’m tried renaming the .000 file extention to a .srm extention) and it still crashes when selecting options either way.

regardless, thanks for the work put in!

    1. I came here to say that too. Running it on my Pi 3 emulation, crashes on options menu. Otherwise, awesome work! I plan on donating to your cause for all the hard work.

      1. i found the raptors. theyre located in the rookies section in the team selection page. keep cycling through and youll find lowry, derozan and JV!

  6. THIS IS AWESOME !!!! How to unlock MJ and others? Are original cheat codes the same or new ones? I’m using a phone to play, so not quite the same. Please post or send via email! Please and Thank You so much !!!

  7. Hi I was wondering if there would be away to put this on the Amazon Fire Tv BOX. If so please let me know would love to play this on that :). This is amazing btw

  8. This is the best thing I’ve seen in awhile. I owned NBA TE back in the day. This is definitely newsworthy, you might want to shoot off some emails to local news stations or big Facebook pages. Someone might pick it up. We’ll send some traffic your way. Keep up the awesome work.
